Artist Statement

Self taught in art and graphic design.

I have been making mandalas for many years. A slow evolution in my work has resulted in the images you see here. I came to the mandala as my signature theme after I spent some time contemplating my artistic direction. My initial area of exploration was the spiral, which soon led me to explore the mandala form.

The mandala is an ancient form of art, and examples can be found in all the major traditions of the world. My work represents a modern luminous evolution, simultaneously vibrant and contemplative, of this ancient form. I use geometric accuracy in my work to express the underlying harmony of the processes of nature.
