Statement: I was born in London and Live and work here, I am in the third year of my Illustration degree at Camberwell college of Arts. I communicate my ideas through using photographs, collage, Photoshop and drawings. I employ a wide range of materials such as paint, fabric, found scrapes of paper together with photocopies of existing images and patterned papers. I enjoy drawing from the female body and have been exploring a diverse range of ways to capture and depict the female form. Influences My current influences are Sam Taylor Wood for her photos and films challenging the common perceptions in everyday lives. Also Nan Goldin s raw images of the naked body are exposing the truth about her personal experiences in life; these are inspiring pieces of documentation. Cindy Sherman plays with concealment and personas exposing and investigating stereotypes of women. These artists inspire me to challenge common perceptions and expectations in life. |
