Artist Statement I graduated from Birmingham Institute of Art & Design in 2003 with a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication specialising in Time Based Media. While studying I realised I enjoyed illustration a lot more by itself. A lot of my ideas come from the media, especially politics, and I like to merge this stuff with pop culture and films. I’ve had a few small successes but nothing’s earning me any money at the moment. Other projects I’ve spawned include an animation entitled, ‘Federacion de Lucha Superhombres’ about Mexican lucha libre. This features characters such as Nazi war criminals, el Chubacabra and the devil herself… J-Lo. I have also created flyers for fake music events. The
music scene in Birmingham is a bit ‘fashion’, so I thought
if I posted my flyers around the city I might be able to inspire some
dumb NME boys to go do something original for a change. Live it. For sales, commissions and to send comments to the artist.
