Tools:

Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Express, In Design, Dreamweaver, Wacom Tablet, Pen, Pencil, Camera  and good tunes.

Inspiration:

A huge amount of my inspiration comes from film and music.

I have a weakness to old 12” records of which I have many and find old record covers an endless source of inspiration. I would name my favorite musical genre as 60-70’s era folk rock, but I do listen to anything as long as it’s good. Surf and kustom culture is also a big influence as are 70-80’s comics.

Work Background:

Having started my career nearly 10 years ago as a humble assistant designer for a small publishing company, I then moved on to work for a large international children’s book publisher based in Bath. There I remained for the next 5 years where I set the publishing label ‘Top Story’ with a team of four other skilled designers and illustrators where we built up a portfolio of over 20 published pop-up children’s books selling literally millions of copies worldwide. Other professional work includes page layout for a national newspaper and project management for a toy manufactures in Somerset.

I now work as a full-time freelance designer and illustrator from my home in Somerset.
