Artist’s Statement: I have spent most of my life as an inhabitant of the inner-urban landscape. The similarities and differences between cities like Boston, New York and London was the focus of my photography before moving to Oklahoma in the mid-nineties. I have always been interested in the way in which scarce resources such as space are divided, and the psychological impact of those divisions. The American mid-west, although undergoing rapid urban expansion, still offers a staggering amount of wide, open space. The vacuity is mesmerizing. It took me quite a while to fully realize that my new landscape was not just visually different, but actually alive. For sales, commissions and to send comments to the artist.
