Drogomir Misina Artist Statement I was born in Croatia in 1969. I was introduced to art at an early age, and throughout my formal education studied sculpture, painting and interior design, amongst other art forms. I moved to England in 1989 and studied English in Oxford before moving to Bath in 1994, where I currently live and work. In 1996 I bought my first SLR camera and started taking photographs, developing new styles and learning new things about myself through lenses. I bought a digital SLR in 2003, which gave me more opportunities to experiment and interact with my photography. Clearing my mind from the rules and letting imagination take over enables me to apply new dimensions to my original photography through digital manipulation. The introduction of colour, composition and form results in energetic pieces of abstract artwork with their own personality. All artwork is printed to order using the Giclée technique. A Bright White Coated 100% Cotton Canvas of 440gsm is used, which is laminated for protection. Each print is from a Limited Edition of 50 and comes numbered and signed, with its own Certificate of Authenticity. |
