Talk: The artists are giving a talk in the Mackintosh Lecture Theatre at 11am on the 6th May.

Description of Event:

New work by Martin Vowles and Rachel Clowes. Public Stealth is an examination of the on-going conflict in Iraq by Martin Vowles, and Dark Stories is a personal look at body markings to mark key life stages – passing exams, getting a proper job, by Rachel Clowes.

Surface is part of London Printworks Trust’s Bursary Scheme, supporting recent graduates. It is a collaboration between GSA (Centre for Advanced Textiles) and London Printworks Trust.

Description of Event:

Natalie McLeod shows work in progress from her Leverhulme Trust-sponsored project; using scientific enquiry to inform her textile design process. Images of chicken eggs obtained using an electron microscope provide the starting point for a variety of work.
