Braziers
International artists Workshop is a non-profit making
organisation set up in 1995. An artist-led initiative, it seeks to
introduce artists, from different backgrounds and disciplines to
participate in activity removed geographically and conceptually from
their usual practice. Braziers International Artists Workshop
provides an environment where experiments can be made and leaps
of the imagination can occur.
This year
we celebrate the 10th anniversary of this artist-led
initiative that since 1995 has invited over 150 artists from the Uk
and around the world for the 16 day workshop. A network of artists
has been created that has led to an increased understanding, new
ideas, collaborations, and opportunities to take part in other
international residencies , workshops and exhibitions. To mark this
achievement, and to build on the cross cultural debates that have
been developed over the 10 years, we are welcoming artists who
have previously participated to join others who are specially invited
for the 16 day workshop.
A one day
Symposium - OUT OF PLACE: Dislocation & Community
is planned for the final weekend in conjunction with our usual
Open Day.
We welcome
you to visit Braziers for either or both of these
special events.
