Studio Voltaire's third annual open submission exhibition aims to showcase the strength and diversity of its studio and external membership, which currently compromises over 150 artists. Every year, the changing panel of invited artists, collectors, critics and curators, select artist's work. Previous selectors include Pablo Bronstein, artist and Eva Tait, formerly of Entwistle Gallery.

This year's exhibition includes the work of seventeen artists, with around half originating from outside of the United Kingdom, including France, Germany, Korea, North America and Australia. The panel have selected the most engaging work from this year¹s submissions to produce a diverse gathering of artistic practices.

Works include Die Mutanten, a new Videosculpture by Markus Vater, a site specific architectural intervention by Marte Eknaes and paintings by Greg Rook that present his spiritual iconography of the Wild West. In addition, Kathrin Bohm and Andreas Lang will provide Preview guests and Studio Voltaire studio users with bbcube, a fully functioning fold out barbecue and seating unit. The exhibition invite has been given over to Iain Drummond for his contribution to SVO4.

About us
Studio Voltaire is the first and only artist-run gallery and studio complex in South West London, offering a service for local residents, schools and community groups that was not previously available. Founded in 1994, Studio Voltaire actively promotes the creation and presentation of, and access to, the arts with our Exhibition, Education and Studio Programmes. The organisation is committed to widening access to the visual arts and to harnessing the arts as a vehicle for further education and learning. Studio Voltaire provides a much-needed resource of low-cost studios to London-based artists. It is our key objective to create a supportive and critical atmosphere to develop diverse artistic practices and help provide career opportunities.

Studio Voltaire is a registered arts and educational charity. Our core running costs are funded by income from studio rents and administration fees. The remaining income is secured through the support of individuals, charitable organisations and corporate sponsorship. Our vision is to continue to strengthen Studio Voltaire¹s role as an innovative cultural centre and resource.
