Sara Shamsavari is a young British London based
photographer of Iranian Kurdish origin> "Street Portraits is a stunning collection of raw photographs taken in and around London. The series documents the photographers day to day experience on the street and in clubs.

Since graduating from Camberwell College of Arts in Summer 2002 Sara has both been featured and published
in i-D magazine (including the Ki-Ds issue out now), has shot two front covers for Virgin megastores Slant Magazine.In the month of January Sara's work features in Touch Magazine(out now), Graphotism quarterly magazine (out now) and the Big Issue (on sale January the 6th). Sara has also shot for Horra records and Virgin records.

Shamsavari and her family came to the U.K. as refugees when she was two years old. Her strong sense of cultural identity and experience of growing up in London give her photographs a "unique empathy with her subjects".
