The Atrium Gallery will be holding RAFT, a solo exhibition by Mark Brogan
from 10 Febuary - 3 March 2005.

Mark works both as sculptor and a lecturer in the UK and in Belgrade,
Serbia. He makes extraordinary complex and intriguing structures - in
this instance, from wood, which are beautifully crafted, requiring hours
of labour and skill in cutting, polishing and joining surfaces. The final
objects, with their organic beauty, hover somewhere between art, science
and mathematics, and propose a narrative connection between his take on
contemporary sculpture and his education as both an artist and curator.
For RAFT, a steel triangular frame will hold aloft two very different
works; one being a raft-like structure and the other, a shiny box from
whose sides an unusual form emerges.
