Title: Stories from Russia: Melanie Manchot
An exhibition of two new bodies of work by the artist Melanie Manchot.
Groups and Locations (Moscow) and Hotel Moscow aims to offer compelling
views on contemporary Russian culture in the twenty-first century. Groups
and Locations (Moscow) is a series of large-format colour photographs
taken at specific historic landmarks in Moscow and Hotel Moscow is a multi-screen
video work that explores the idea and power of the urban myth through
the subject of an actual hotel and its unique history.

Title: Stories from Russia: The Commissar Vanishes
A selection of material from David King's collection of historical propaganda
from the former USSR. This will counterpoint the Melanie Manchot exhibition
and will feature a selection of images that convey the terror of Stalin's
dictatorship and the 'Great Purges' of the 1930s.
