Release The Premiums exhibition showcases some of the best contemporary work being produced by young artists today. Highlighting the diverse work produced by second year students at the Royal Academy Schools, the exhibition provides an opportunity to view painting, sculpture and photography, by developing, aspiring artists mid-way through their studies. The RA Schools offer students the opportunity to develop their ideas and working practices on a unique three-year postgraduate course. Attracting students from across the UK and Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, the RA Schools has established an international reputation, and is renowned for its creativity and originality. With a total of 60 places available, the Schools offer students a wide range of benefits including access to tutorials and lectures given by leading figures in the art world, and links with a wide range of contemporary artists, including Royal Academicians. The
works on show will include those produced in the new EPSON Digital Media
Suite, opened in October 2003. This new space offers students the opportunity
to experiment with digital imaging equipment at the forefront of technology.
Students can now manipulate images digitally and print them in a variety
of ways on a wide range of media, including canvas, film and textiles,
opening up new areas of creativity and innovation. OPENING
