SHOT by Reuters Photographers Gallery open between 12-6pm Wednesday - Friday, 12-4pm Saturday The first ever UK showing of Reuters highly acclaimed "ONE SHOT" photography exhibition will open at the Robin Gallery this month. "ONE SHOT" encapsulates the most dynamic and compelling of global news images and marks the second in the Robin Gallery's series of exhibitions for 2005 showcasing the best in worldwide photojournalism. These powerful images are not only a photographic statement of world events but strong visual suggestions that invite us to delve deeper into thoughtful reflection and emotion. From Palestinian youths caught climbing the concrete walls separating the West Bank from Israel to the Prince of Wales promoting local produce at the Royal Academy in London, the challenging and provocative images presented in "ONE SHOT" open a unique visual dialogue with global events, allowing the world to be explored through photography in new and exciting ways. 7538 0652 The Robin Gallery is a registered charity creating an international centre for documentary photgraphy onboard Europe's oldest complete steamship in the heart of London's Docklands. The ship's original cargo hold has recently been transformed into a 2000 sq. ft floating exhibition space and classroom. The Robin Trust works with schools in Tower Hamlets and Newham, addressing issues of exclusion and disaffection through visual literacy workshops.
