Artist Statement:

My influences arise from a variety of everyday sources such as patterns, objects, architecture and photographs, as well as music and conversations.

I sketch and collect images and objects, which directly influence my drawings and paintings.

I have become interested in repeat patterns and in finding the balance between planned ways of mark making, like line drawing, as well as more accidental methods, such as pouring paint.

My drawings are often very linear and often quite playful, whereas my paintings tend to have a more built up and layered quality.

I graduated this year from BA (hons) Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art.
