Artist Statement

These are some examples of my photographs, taken with a Canon EOS 500 SLR. My interests include the experience of tourism, the (de)construction of landscapes, and comparative analysis. My photographs tend to focus on that which I encounter and its ‘dissection’; they often take a kind of traditional “documentary” approach, but one which develops its abstract parts (as photography inherently does, but which can be more or less emphasised in certain contexts, of course).
