Artist Statement:
My theme is about finding ones path from successive influences and methodological practices; the erosion and evolution of ideology and languages
My photography basis focuses on manipulated photography as per 1960s Photographers Peter Wilkinson and Jerry Uelsmann, whose work took on a surrealist approach to landscapes.
A major influence in my practice is nature. Horticultural, biological and chemical, and I use this as a vehicle to exhibit my view of the cycle of evolution. The imagery is taken from a select few woodland areas around England and manipulated on site.
