Statement: In my work I am dealing
with the notion of the informality of Snapshot-Photography. Even though the pictures I select feature people, animals, interiors, streets, landscapes, abstracts and objects, they were inspired by the conceptual structures of my first still-life which was of an apricot. This is not, however, the only reason for the title. The ‘apricot’ as such, stands for little allegorical capacities what I want my pictures to be based on. The structure
of each ‘sentence’ is based on the concept of the ‘Haiku’
- a concentrated and highly constructed poem that stands as the beginning
of an imaginary longer text.
