Artist Statement:

As an illustrator, my interests lie in an educational sense, looking at conservation and preservation of all wildlife. Therefore, I have found myself specialising in all aspects of zoological illustration. Although I am widespread (in terms of what I paint)in the field, my real passion and interest is within herpetology (reptiles and amphibians).

In the past, I have worked more intensely on scientific and conceptual forms of illustration than traditional. These illustrations include the workings of a snake's jaw (how it dislocates), the use of colour as communication in chameleons, and so forth.

I feel as of time, my work is best suited for educational purposes, but hopefully through the prevailing opportunites I have to expand, this will help me to appeal to a wider audience.
