I love the spontanaeity of live bands, and I like to be quite experimental when I shoot, capturing the essence of a show rather than producing a bog-standard journo-snap. This leads to interesting results, often quite arty, abstract, haunting or funny. I beleive that music photography should reflect the character of the music, and I try to act as a translator between the performer and the viewer. When you see my pictures they should instantly give you the FEELING of being at the show rather than an accurate depiction of the event.
I have worked directly with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rogers Sisters, The Cribs, The Fades, The Seconds, Electric Six, Vue, Ikara Colt and Har Mar Superstar among others.
I have also been hired by Kerrang! magazine, Chrysalis Music Publishing, XL Records, Retna Picture Agency, Get Real Detroit magazine, Latest 7 magazine (Brighton's 'Time Out'), What's On In London magazine and Cartesian Records.
