"With my art, I use symbolism to express human emotion. The themes behind each piece address issues that I am most passionate about. I use paint to communicate, and these paintings portray the images of my mind."

Biography

Kristin Abraham was born in December of 1982, Rochester, NY. As the second oldest of nine children, Kristin drew at an early age to escape the chaos. During high school, her work was displayed in several shows and galleries throughout upstate New York, including the Livonia Art Show ( Livonia, NY) and The Memorial Art Gallery ( Rochester, NY).

In 2001, Kristin moved to Ft. Myers, FL and taught herself to paint.

She participated in several outdoor shows before traveling to Europe to explore England and Italy. Upon her return, Kristin attended Florida Gulf Coast University for only a semester and participated in the FGCU student show.

In 2002, Kristin worked with mural artist, Cary diValentin. This experience jump-started her commission painting, leading to several large scale works throughout southern Florida. During this time, Kristin achieved gallery representation by Artemesia Gallery, in Venice FL.
