A photograph is a moment in which the strange can become familiar, and
the everyday becomes a narrative, a documentary, a story. Everything is
focused down into an instant, and these definitions change, as we are
asked to look at the world, and our preconceptions of it, in a new light.
It takes the things we know and replays them from a different angle.
These photographs are a selection of moments I’ve experienced, with
various places and people, when truth and story became entwined. They
have long since taken on their own lives and started telling stories of
Cumbria Institute of the Arts: BA (Hons) (recent graduate)
sales, commissions and to send comments to the artist.
