Artist statement:

I treat my photographs like abstract paintings, ignoring or at least pushing back the pertinence of the photographs' physical content and acknowledging textures, colours and shapes. In viewing my photographs I ask you to step only half a step back, whereas you would usually take a whole step back to view an image such as a photograph, breaking down the visual language only gently in order to view what is quite obviously there.

Specific and general feelings of acquaintance and silent thought often follow with the contents and compositions of the photos.

The majority of my work involves video and work pertaining to involvement and ethical values of users (people), triggering thoughts that are usually evoked when alone, connecting to dark desires and perversions, which we all have to many degrees and forms.

With this photography I aim to force a purer form of subconscious expression from myself and into others, disregar ding rules of aesthetics and beauty and instead showing my subconscious brain what is would like to see and be in.
