Artist Statement:

"Meric Kara was born in Turkey in 1977. She studied Industrial Design and collected every small, colourful thing she could get her hands on.

After her degree she went on to do a masters in Domus Academy in Milan, and took part in exhibitions in Amsterdam, NY, London, Istanbul and Milan. Her work has been published in various magazines and books.

During her 2 years of stay in Fabrica design depatment, she has designed store presentations for New Years at Benetton and Sisley stores in Turkey, as well as designing product lines and interiors for various companies. She is interested in designing thinking things that communicate. She likes experimenting, tricking others with a bit of sarcasm. She has a beautiful match collection, but is too happy to ever be a pyromaniac."
