Artist Statement

Nicko Straniero

I paint mainly using a basic printing techinique.. stamping color covered object directly onto the canvas. Those are recycled objects, things around me that have a shape capable to suit the idea. The accumulation of traces and shapes produce an abstract result the mixes strict geometry to organic elements. The repetitive Order to the unique Chaos.
The colours choosen each time translate moods and help ease dynamics and movements on the canvas. Main inspirations are music, architecture and nature.
