Statement:
I am interested
in:
The shapes
that make up a person’s face, and how they can be shown.
How a 2-D
image can be turned into a 3-D object.
The idea
of an album (i.e. a collection of images) as a personal possession.
The messiness
behind a finished, polished product.
Animation.
Because of the materials I have used, many people have suggested animation
to me. They expect them to move, or want them to move. They impose the
idea of animation onto them. I want them to deliberately not move. They
are fixed images.
