Artist Statement:
To me photography is about looking and seeing, recognizing and acknowledging
within the constructed space. It is about being aware of the social and
cultural implications, of what goes on in the urban landscape. The work
does not make a direct statement but leaves the forming of an opinion
to the audience. Neither do I claim that it is an objective representation
of reality. Since we all hold different ideals and beliefs our interpretations
will naturally differ.

COMMON GROUND
The “Common Ground” series consists of six images taken on
similar housing estates around Europe (England, Sweden and Finland) during
2002.
In the Series I want to by using digital representation re-evoke the idealism
behind post war urban architecture, a utopianism contradicted by contemporary
reality.
