Artist Statement

The main aim of displaying this body of work is to provide a brief over view, of the variety of work I cover with my photography, rather than showcase a particular project or theme.

Photographically, I am self-taught, with the exception of a short City and Guilds course in Close up work and a brief induction into Dark room practice. The main influences that first lured me into photography are still a driving force for me today. Speed, energy, passion, experimentation, along with architecture, music, the natural form, trying to capture particular atmospheres or personality and a fascination with the American dream, or to quote a favourite author, the death of it…
