Artist Statement:

I work with traditional, digital and experimental photography. I often focus on small details in order to suggest something greater. In recent pieces of work I have used a variety of photographic techniques to explore such themes as the microcosm and the macrocosm, the hidden narratives in our everyday surroundings, and the complex relationships between nature and the city. I am also very interested in the use of metaphor and symbol, and particularly how techniques such as the manipulation of colour, tone, and focus can suggest meaning and affect emotional reactions to an image.
