I specialised in knitted textiles at Gray's school of Art in Aberdeen.
I was keen to incorporate different suface textures into my knits and
did this using mainly rubber and plastic into felted knits.
My pieces are for fashion accessories and are strongly based on alternative
Japanese fashions and are inspired by deep sea creatures. I wanted them
to be fun and funky and bright colours were very important to me. Above
all I want people to touch my work.
Although my work is designed mainly as bags and jewellery I now do a range
for interiors as well, mostly in felted cushions with rubber details.
I work on a commission basis and am flexible about colours and designs
within the range.
