How colours are used in children’s wear —

How colours are used in children’s wear is the working title. This investigation is to make children aware about colour and to promote fashion/clothing through colour. Colour helps a child to improve his/her self-esteem. Keeping this in mind, from my research I found the most appealing approach would be creating a promotional advertising campaign.

Evaluation was conducted using the marketing experts of Adams Kids at Adams Head Office in Nuneaton. The outcome was very positive.

My research supports that colours definitely affect children mentally and physically and therefore influences certain decisions people make and persuade the target audience to positive decision-making.

Artist Statement:

I WISH TO GROW PROFESSIONALLY IN THE FIELD OF ADVERTISING WITH A SPECIALIZATION IN COMMUNICATION DESIGN. COMPARED TO THE OTHER ART FORMS, THIS IS THE MOST FULFILLING WAY FOR ME TO EXPRESS MYSELF. A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MY CONCENTRATION IN THE ART RELIES ON THE POWER OF MASS COMMUNICATION. COMPUTERS HAVE BECOME AN ARTIST’S NEW TOOL. COMPUTER GRAPHIC PROGRAMS, SUCH AS ADOBE PHOTOSHOP, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR, CORALDRAW,3D MAX, HAVE BECOME NEW TOOLS JUST AS A PAINTER STROKES A BRUSH ON A CANVAS. MY INTENTION IS TO USE MY SKILLS TO MERGE COMPUTER GRAPHIC ART WITH MANUAL ART. THE PROCESS OF CREATING ART CAN HAVE MANY APPROACHES. SOME STEPS I TAKE IN CREATING ART ARE RESEARCHING AND MAKING MANUAL ART WITH LOT OF GRAPHIC LIKE THAT OF COMPUTER GRAPHIC ART. FORMULATING AN IDEA {THIS MAY OCCUR ANY TIME}, AND BRINGING THIS IDEA OUT IN TO VISUAL FORM.
PERSEVERANCE IS NEEDED TO MERGE IDEAS IN ORDER TO TRANSFORM THOUGHT INTO A PIECE OF ART. I START WITH A SKETCH AND THEN I DEVELOP THE IDEA ON A MEDIA THAT BEST COMPLIMENTS THE WORK IDEAS AND EXPERIENCE GUIDE MY INTUITIONS FOR THE WORK THAT I CREAT. THE COLOUR SELECTION FOLLOWS A STANDARD THAT FAVORS A CONVENTIONAL PALETTE. I CAREFULLY SELECT COLOURS AS WELL AS SHAPES FOR A DESIGN THAT TRIGGERS EMOTIONS AND ALSO CREATES A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE VIEWER. I APPROCH A NEW WORK WITH A GOAL OF MAKING IT NOT ONLY AESTHETICALLY PLEASING, BUT ALSO CREATS A CONVEYING THE NECESSARY MEANING. THE GOAL OF MY WORK IS TO EXPRESS THE REPRESENTATION I HAVE WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY ALLOWING THE VIEWER TO DEVELOP HIS OR HER PERSPECTIVE. IF ONE VIEWER EXPERIENCES A CONNECTION AS A RESULT OF VIEWING MY WORK, I FEEL I HAVE SUCCEEDED.
