Artist Statement:

I graduated this summer in Graphic Design. A lot of my work is illustrative as you will see, but I also enjoy designing logos. I am very interested in the Greeting Card industry and make and sell my own handmade cards and pictures. If you are interested in seeing any of my designs for cards let me know - they are proving to be quite popular!!

The black and white images are taken from a children's book I designed, made up and had professionally bound. The artwork and type is all done by hand using pen and ink. The book incorporates pop-up, goggle eyes, moving parts and flaps. I always find that interactive books are far more popular and
interesting!!

The Illustration of 'The Rows' in Chester was one of a few observational pieces I did for a final year project. I particularly enjoy this kind of observational work and have many more pieces of work, which are far too big to scan in.

The pinky/purple collage images are taken from some of my handmade card designs, using handmade and printed papers, foils and hand stitching.

The bright images illustrating popular nursery rhymes were all created using bright, attractive coloured paper and both lettering and images were cut out using a very sharp blade! Yes, that's right; the tiny letters were all cut out by hand and stuck on individually!! I'm mad, I know but it was worth it because the original pieces are extremely effective and unique.
