Artist Statement: How do I work? I collage my final images from a variety of papers, patterns and textures that I've either found or produced myself. I sometimes integrate collaged and drawn elements and will use my mac to draw, manipulate or compose. My observational skills are crucial to making my work strong and I always like to inject a little humour into my work, too. I am interested in working in all areas of illustration and believe myself to be an organised person who is highly motivated. 'Meticulous' and 'professional' are two other words that have been used to describe me. Images 1-4. From my children's book "How to be Naughty" Image 5.
