Artist Statement:

I am interested in contemporary everyday life: its mundanity, its repetitiveness, its banality. My work aims to create a space for an alternative understanding of our lived experience of that everyday life. I aim to employ, deconstruct and subvert various intellectual and artistic strategies for the representation of the quotidian. The aim is to create an ambiguous, questioning and open-ended body of work, so providing a dialectical viewing experience for the spectator. This hopefully offers the possibility of a liberation from our habitually unthinking consumption of art rhetoric, and, more importantly, of everyday life itself.
