Dimitrios Makris was born on the 9 th March 1981 in Greece. Since his early days as a toddler he has had a passion for clothes and all things fashion. Dimitrios from the beginning drew his inspiration from the nature of his surroundings and Greek history and culture.
His first years as a student of fashion took place in a Fashion Designing and styling in Dimitrelis College where he attended lectures in Thessalonica. As well as his full time studies he continued to attend seminars that enhanced his knowledge of the industry and allowed him to experiment in his designs(see list below). It was then time for Dimitrios to make the big move to England where he would attend Southampton Institute in order to finish his degree. Throughout this he continued to make, design and customise clothes for people that required something outside of the norm.
When graduating from his BA (hons) in fashion it was time to put what he learnt into practise by working within the industry. Persistence has always been one of his strengths and this contributed to the fact that he got a job with the designer Raphael Lopez straight out of university. This was a great opportunity for him to put his knowledge into practise which led to the line being displayed in London Fashion Week.
By using all the experience gained Dimitrios currently designs and makes clothes as requested for various clients that his has accumulated through his contacts in the industry. His current interest is creating garments that are affordable and can be worn by any one at any time, but be creative and individual enough to portray the style of the customer and the designer.
