Portraits
I
started painting strange Matisse-like caricatures
(apologies to Matisse!) to vent my frustrations
and angers in life. I thought of various relatives
and tried to depict 'horror' images of them. To
my surprise, a number of them actually liked their
portraits! Some even wanted to buy them and asked
me to do more! I obviously have strange relatives!
Some
professional artists and gallery owners were kind
enough to say my paintings are interesting, different,
and fun. So Saatchi or Tate Modern here I come!
