Artist Statement:

"Only about two percent of our total visual field is in sharp focus at any one time and we experience the world as a blur. When we look out at the world most of what we see is out of focus – shapes and colours at the periphery of our vision. We piece these fragments together, constructing much of what we perceive to have seen on the basis of prior experience and what we know about the world.
