Viktor Jovanovic

"I was born in Yugoslavia and have lived in London since I was a young boy. Since attending Art College in 1980, I have been involved in many Art projects including private commissions. I have exhibited in London's Roundhouse as part of Images and Ages exhibition, as well as producing digital design for a number of CD and Internet based Art and dance projects.
My current work addresses the composition of deconstruction, transformation and movement. I am interested in the process of deconstructing and recreating images. This often involves taking a base image, elevating it by digital transformation and a process of organic growth. The process of development and intensification continues until the work hits the highest point. The work is only completed when this advance peaks. These three paintings explore the area of Abstract Iconography. They are designed to create a contemplative state in preparation for divine worship or meditation.
My BSc and PGCE, were gained at London Guildhall University and University of London. I am Currently researching Digital Art for a PhD project with the University of Surrey.
