The Turner Prize... Well, I was not as disappointed as I thought I would be. I am only disappointed in my 'go with the flow' belief that it would be a 'load of bollocks' which is the term that has attached itself to conceptual art. The Turner Prize...

Sunset People

Warming you up for two weeks in a row, Sunset People returns on Saturday 14 and 21 December at the Glowrooms, 58a Camberwell Church St (corner of Camberwell Grove), Camberwell SE5. Open from 9pm-3am, free before 9.30pm, £5 after (£3 conc)

This month, Kristos opens with his set of nu and forgotten disco grooves, followed by Mit, Little Kris and Steven Gray (Full Soul Music) pumping the crowd with deep, latin, soulful vibes and as ever accompanied by live rhythms from Mook Bongo and Ian Symmonds.

Katherine Calil presents her series of photographs and light boxes for Private View.
Born in London 1975, recently graduated from Middlesex University (BA Fine Art). Working with a variety of subjects, she is interested in using photography to play with the stereotypes that are often redefined by the subjects. Colour, contrast, light and the developing process all contribute to the final product.

Taking something real: the subject and turning it into something else real: the object (the artefact). The images take on a sensuous quality of their own that is no longer directly related to that of the subject itself. View samples of her work: www.sunsetpeople.co.uk/programmeartists.html

Don't forget to visit our website for more details on the programme and for a glimpse of what's in store. Look forward to seeing you there...
